Half way details

It was the start of wedding crazy month this past weekend. I had my first dress fitting! I stopped looking at dresses once I picked the gown but It was hard for me to remember certain details and once I tried it on, I felt a whole lot better that I made the right decision. Of course it is big on me and will need a lot of work but I am sure it will be done well. I tried it on with my mom's veil and it looked amazing. I was floored that it worked so well. I also got to pick up the dresses for the girls and they are this pretty grey lavender color. Love them. My mom is taking three of them with her to NY to distribute to the girls there.

Afterwards my mom and I went to look at some jewelry and I came this close to buying some but when I saw the prices I had to slowly back away.

Since my parents were in town we went to dinner at a place I have been wanting to try and it was very good, we will be going there again for sure. We went to mass and then for dinner took the parents to Tapas Barcelona, hands down my favorite place!

This week is going to be very busy, I have a few doctor and dentist appointments, our tasting and our engagement photos. So we are busy once again but at least it is a good busy. But I still have no clue what to wear for the pictures!!

Help!

Doesn't it feel great to check a few more things off your list? Sounds like it was a stress-free weekend, which is always good!

Not sure of your style for wedding jewelry. But, I got mine at the Left Bank in Lincoln Park. The owner carries very classic looking jewelry without being a traditional strand of pearls. Not sure what your price range is, but it might be worth checking out.

I remember feeling like you did. I was worried I hadn't chosen the right dress once I took the plunge and ordered it. Then at the fitting, all worries washed away. Just wait until you try it on and it fits you like a second skin you were meant to wear all your life!
I absolutely love Tapas and I can't wait to check out Barcelona Tapas. Have you ever been to Maison Sabika in Naperville? Might be a hike for you, I'm not sure, but it's definitely worth it. Go on a warm summer evening to enjoy the outside weather and the crowded company.

If you like tapas you have been to Cafe Bar-Bar-Reeba right? The warm goat cheese with tomato sauce? Holy hell is that awesome.

Anyway, I'm glad your first dress fitting went well! My dress hasn't come in yet so hopefully it goes well!

Let us know what you end up wearing for your engagement photos because we will be taking them at some point too. :-)

The bridesmaids dresses sound like they are a really pretty color! And how cool that you get to wear you mom's veil. She must be really excited about that!

Sounds like everyone had fun! I love it when the parental units visit.

Is there a way for us to see the gown?? I heart that stuff....I wouldn't want HIM to see it and spoil the surprise....
